Steve's is a famous venue in Cleveland lore. Located on the western edge of Ohio City, Steve's is open 24 hours a day and legend has it that its only closed once in the last 60 years - when President Kennedy was assinated. It serves up cheap eats and is a great late night stop. Famous for their hotdogs and people watching.
I recall several years ago, going always late night .Always such a variety of people. I loved the hot dogs and the GOOD OLE GIRLS who worked there They were always so unpretenious .It always was ,just what it was . No sugar coating . Wished I could stop by there today . So Glad to see they are still going strong. Disregaurd all negative comments ,people have a way of trying to get above their raising. Good Luck to Steve's Va. 1/10/2012 Flies/Flies everywhere. This place does not have a screendoor. The flies were all over the cutting boards and everywhere else. Shouldn't a waitress wash her hands after touching money then playing with cheese. She acted like we were bothering her and just starred at us. Hot dog lukewarm with dollup of ground up chili. Anonymous 9/2/2011 Good Dogs & Catering At Christmas, our party was Catered by Steve's. It was a great Breakfast Buffet. Later about 6 weeks ago I stopped by for a couple of Dogs, complimented them on the Christmas Breakfast. We had Slaw/Chili Dogs with the works......stopped again today. Yes they are super busy, you must be patient. But boy is it worth it!! Debbie Staskiews from Brooklyn 3/12/2011 BROOKLYN = TERRIBLE Went to the Brooklyn location on 12-7-10. Probably in my top three of absolutely worst customer service experiences. The waitresses clearly do NOT care if you come back. I actually told the waitress to cancel my order and I left. No matter how good the food may have been, it wasn't worth being treated like dirt. (Short waitress with long blond hair -40s/50s). She didn't make eye contact with me once. I will never walk through those doors again. I hope the owner sees this and does something about it because it looks like a nice little diner inside, and their food is reasonably priced. I doubt they will be there long.... cleveland 12/7/2010 Yummy Okay...First in reference to the previous Post,It is not EVER called "Steve's Hot Dog Inn" (Not trying to be rude)Steve's and "Hot Dog Inn" are two completely different places. Both are VERY VERY Good although there are many people who have a favorite. They are just blocks away from each other. And let's not forget about the one the only The AMAZING "Johnny Hot Dog" Located in the West Side Market. By far Bar none Without a doubt my Fav! Cleveland 9/8/2010 Steve's Hot Dogs a must! I stopped by Steve's Lunch or as I think it's commonly called, Steves Hotdog Inn, on Lorain Road in Ohio City. At 1:00am it's a great stop for some greasy dining and ALWAYS an interesting conversation with the great workers there or the interesting patrons. Check it out after a night on the town.
