excellent latin

Considered a sort of "hole-in-a-wall" restaurant to most, but that's where you usually get the best authentic/ regional food. They are billed as Guatemalan, Costa Rican, and a touch of Puerto Rican. But I just call it great food. I recommend anything with steak or chicken - or just try the day's special. Excellent beans and rice.

The owners of La Brasa are Guatemalan and seem to have a regional take on "Mexican" food. What impressed me, in addition to the good food, tamales, rice and beans and tacos fritos, was the generosity. The tacos fritos, 3 with chicken and cheese inside and fresh chopped vegetable topping, was a meal in itself, for $2. David
