Twitter FeedI love the Grovewood! I've had several different entree's and enjoyed them all! Interesting taste combinations! Their "deconstructed grilled cheese" app is awesome. Great wine list, service and fun local tavern atmosphere. As for "too pricey" they have a 5 for $5 happy hour menu. Nothing over $5. We try and get there before HH ends at 7. The only negative is the neighborhood. Make sure you park close and head straight in! Cleveland 1/30/2010 too pricey Too pricey for me. Wasn't that great either. Been there a few times. Ordered shrimp yakatori. Lot's of noodles and only 3 or 4 small shrimps. Not worth it. The grilled chicken salad is good. Nobody at our table was that impressed. Carefull of the neighborhood, you might get mugged. Anonymous 10/11/2009 a special place I first found about about the Grovewood about 5 years ago, and I have been sending people there ever since. It is amazing the wonders that sally forth from their tiny kitchen. When a friend of mine was reviewing the wine list she said "who's cellar did they loot"! Its that impressive. Equally impressive is that they price all wines at $10 above retail. They offer numerous wine (and beer) tasting dinners throughout the year. I have been to several and never been disappointed. Don't forget to bring "your juke box money" as they have perhaps the most interesting selections you are going to see in this area! Cleveland 8/14/2007 What a find! My wife and I ventured out to the Grovewood on several good recommendations from this site and were not disappointed! Their beer selection was top notch and they had someone behind the bar that was very knowledgeable on their drink selection. I had the best smoked beer I ever had in my life there. The menu was a great list of many comfort foods and I had a delicious veal meatloaf and my wife had a huge helping of very tasty chicken paparkash. Call ahead if you're going because the place is small or else try sitting at the bar and getting to know some of the friendly staff. Cleveland 12/26/2004 Grovewood is Great! This place looks like a dive but is a real gem. Hidden inside is a top notch chef driven restaurant w/ a great selection of wine. It is always busy so make sure you call ahead for reservations. Crystal from Bedford 11/19/2004 DONT MISS THIS PLACE!! My girlfriend and I have been going here off and on for 2 years. We arent regulars but everytime we go the staff remembers us. The menu has traditional as well as ecletic. Try the bison burger! Very good!! I am a favorite of wines and this place never disappoints. I definitely recommend reservations though. It is ALWAYS jumping on the weekend. The only area of improvement I see though is the parking. Don't be surprised if you have to circle the block a couple of times before a spot becomes available. Thankfully they have people going in and out so one usually opens up fairly quickly. ENJOY!!
