Best Deal In Town

George's Kitchen is at the site of a former Manner's Big Boy. George serves, basically, comfort food in large quantities for a small price. For example, how about a breaded walleye dinner (2 large pieces that sometimes overlap the plate), with potato, cole slaw or vegetable, soup (a bowl, not a cup), bread and saltines, for $5.95? Not bad. Some entrees cost $1 less and I doubt anything on the menu goes for above $7. The service is amazingly quick and quite friendly. The clientele tend to be casually dressed, e.g., I've never seen anyone in there wearing a tie, other than myself (when picking up dinner on the way home from work).
