Great Place The Fairmount is a great place to go for food and drinks. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The outdoor patio with full bar is a great place to hang out in the summer, while the cozy interior with fireplace is comfy in the winter. Its too bad Chris had a bad experience, but I have been there many times and have never been treated with anything but utter professionalism. Cleveland Hts. 3/22/2008 Terrible experience My girlfriend and I have been going to the "Fairmount Martini and Wine Bar" once a weekend for the last year. We bring many friends and family members along with us and usually we have a great time. Although, on Saturday evening (6/16/07) our friend was accused (by Jeff, the owner) of spitting on the men's bathroom mirror. Taken by surprise and very fatigued from his day, he was left speechless. Jeff persisted with his questioning and insisted on being confrontational with our friend. If you knew my best friend like I do, you would not even put this childish behavior past him. Besides, he never used the bathroom in the short time that we were there. Jeff, proceeded to demand a response from my friend and eventually drove him to the point of him saying "I am very insulted by your accusations and I spend alot of money here and I am not going to return here again". Jeff responded in front of our entire party with "Fine, GO “F” YOURSELF". We could not believe our ears. The smell of alcohol was apparent on Jeff’s (the owner) breath, but we did not think he was drunk. Perhaps there were other chemicals in his system at the time. We are not sure, but we were extremely insulted. We will truly miss the establishment (especially our favorite bartender "Bob") but we could never feel welcome in such a hostile and degrading establishment as the "Fairmount Martini and Wine Bar". Jeff has an idea. Create a rich plush intimate cacoon of wood and leather where wine lovers and martini drinkers can be both comfortable and spoiled. Then staff it with people who know. Know about wine know about atmosphere know about impeccable service. The Fairmount is as well-appointed as it is welcoming. Meet Jeff. Then introduce him to your best friends.
