My husband use to work @ the old Chester's (same owner - not the same menu). We were so excited to see that advertisement for Chester's - the same old menu, wow let's go. We went and are now regretting it. The waiter was a joke - Tim. We have 2 children and one of them was using her cell phone, he practically insulted us for letting her have one..... there is safety to consider with a teenager now days.... Then he proceeded to swear at our table in front of them. No kids menu...If you have kids do not go, we had to order a $7.95 appetizer for a four year old. The charge the same price for drinks for kids and then give them a small cup. My other daughter and I ordered a chargrilled chicken sandwich which was advertised with Mayo. It came out with none, we asked for it, and then we asked for it again,, we are making it it will take about 15 minutes, he came to our table and again and asked would we like boxes...NO WE ASKED FOR MAYO TWICE AND NOW OUR FOOD IS COLD, WE DO NOT WANT IT, FIX OUR CHECK AND BRING IT TO US. He brought the check, did not remove the uneaten food and then came back for payment. My husband then had to demand that he remove the food from our bill. We paid our bill and then went to Arby's to eat dinner because we were still hungry! This is the worst place in the area to go to eat!!!!! I have awarded only negative stars to this place.. please a fst food place is much better. Anonymous 9/20/2007 Chesters There is no wine list. The waiter only offered by the glass wine by type (merlot) and it was very poor quality. Service was poor - we waited quite a while between being approached and then served. The waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert. Dinners were awful - sides requested were not presented; too much starch - corn and mashed potatoes with everything; filet was small, thin and tasteless; no bread or rolls for the table; fish was dry. This is NOTHING lke the original Chester's - will NEVER go back! Independence 9/18/2007 new opening of Chesters Chesters in Independence, Ohio...What a total disappointment. I ordered a Cosmopolitan drink ($6.50) but could not drink it (made wrong?) bad! Ordered Spinach and Artichoke dip. It's always served in a creamy cheesy dip. This was a super small bowl of very dark green stuff that looked like it was beat up in a blender (about one cup for $6.95). Ordered a "Frank&Pauly" Salad ($7.95) Menu stated "Wedge of iceburg lettuce" but received only some cut up romaine. Asked for a side of ranch dressing. It was so thin that it hardly had any flavor. Ordered Chicken Quesadilla for $7.95). All that was in it was the taste of a melted piece of american cheese. Menu said it would be served with sour cream. haha Two dollops of one teaspoon each. (for 8 quesadillas!) I didn't order an entree....no rice available to go with Salmon or with Jambaliya. (Mashed potatoes or fettacini just didn't go with those!) The only thing I enjoyed was a very cold Miller Chill beer. I can't believe that Chesters will be able to stay in business very long! NO STARS !!!!! Seven Hills. Ohio 9/15/2007 what the ??? -we were seated, waitress said she would be with us in a moment, never came back -No White wine available?? - no salt or pepper on table --appetizer came , it was okay -there was no bread or rolls, what restaurant doesn't have bread????- -entree arrived, chicken parm way overcooked, Penne with Mozzarella and shrimp came without shrimp,,waiter brought shrimp in small dish right at the time we were leaving. This place has alot to be desired, or else the building is going to be vacant soon!
