Bar Flyy has a good club vibe. It's not hip or trendy but does have interesting decor and cool hydraulic chairs. It gets packed on the weekends and the basement level has even more square footage than the first floor. If you want an energtic party scene, check out Bar Flyy. If you're looking for some place that's quiet where you don't want to be bumping into people and actually want to carry on a conversation, this isn't the place... Jeremy Borger from Cleveland 6/14/2006 BarFlyy is a rip off This past weekend was the first time I was in Barflyy and I will never go back. At first, we were all having a great time and the atmosphere was fun. We ordered our first round of drinks...5 beers and the bill came to $17.00, 20 minutes later we ordered another round of 5 beers and the bill was $22.00, we questioned the bill and the bar tender fixed it and said she made a mistake...ok mistakes happen. The next time we ordered (5 beers again) the bill came to $24.00, which again we questioned and once again it was only fixed b/c it was brought to her attention. We then ordered three shots and three beers, the shots were not what we ordered and after charging us $31.00 the bar tender could not tell us how much she charged us per shot, after she just rang us up in the register, once she finally came up with a number per shot, her final number didn't add up, again a total overcharge. The final straw was when a friend of mine ordered a cranberry and vodka and the bar tender came back with a vodka and 7-up and refused to switch it out. I have never felt so ripped off at a bar. These bars already overcharge for drinks, but we are all made aware of the prices before we purchase our drinks, we choose to pay for them. I do not expect to have to argue with a bar tender everytime I order a round and the pricing is consistently changing. It is to bad, b/c I think the West 6th area and I am always looking for a great place to go, but the Barflyy will be one bar I pass up! Brunswick 3/21/2006 Not too Flyy I've been into Bar Flyy about 4 or 5 times. It's gotten a lot better since the first time which was a few days after it opened. But the music doesn't work for me. Last weekend I heard Britney Spears Toxic. A good DJ KNOWS that you don't play that in the club. It could be an awesome club if they played better music. Anonymous 10/3/2005 A Great Time! A great addition to the bars downtown something a little different i love the local art on the walls along with the retro kitchen in the basement. Classy but not too stuck up plus it's great to go to a bar where you don't hear this top 40 hip hop all the time...the dj does some cool remixes and keeps the people dancing!
