Went to dinner with a $50.00 gift certificate. When the bill came I was told that the certificate couldn't be used for alcohol; had to pay cash for the drinks. Then I was told that the $20.00 difference between the amount of my bill and the amount of the certificate could not be refunded in cash. I said that's fine, give me a $20.00 certificate. Couldn't do that either, I'm just out $20.00. The manager said she was just following the owner's instructions. When I asked to speak to the owner, the manager refused to contact him. Bottom line, I got ripped off for $20.00. Plus, the place was filthy. Spent the entire time there shooing flies off of the food. They lost our reservation and had others sitting at our table. (had already paid and dropped off a cake in advance) We had to ask for other napkins as they were USED, Cold food, flat Pepsi, Out of Jack Daniels, lime, ginger ale. My father had to go across the street to CVS to get drinks. We waited an hour and a half for just our bread and salad. We were asked to "hold off on drink refills" as we were holding up the food.(makes sense since we only had one server for 25 people) We were then asked to reuse our salad plates for dinner because they were out of plates. When we said that wasn't acceptable the waitress slammed the plates around saying how ridiculous it was. When we called the owner to complain, he was "not sure what he could do for us". The table over was not allowed to have a table cloth or napkins because they were out. (our party and another party of 20 or so were the only people there)They also were turning away people at the door who came to eat. The bartender told someone from our party that they have to beg for their paychecks from the owner. We were served styrofoam cups for coffee because they weren't allowed to use regular coffee cups. The cups had dirt in them. Our table was propped up with a napkin under the leg to keep it level. My description does not even paint half of how terrible this place was!! Will NEVER go back! The service was horrible ( we waited almost 20 minutes to get our drinks) and the food was mediocre. A month ago we decided to give it another try. The place was 1/4 full and we got seated right away. It was like deja vu all over again. We waited and waited for our drink order. They finally brought it with our salad and the bread and dip. 30 seconds later they come with our food order which wasn't even what I had order. My husband said his meal was good, but the poor guy was half starved. Never again!!
