Agora Theater

The infamous Agora Theater on the near east side of Downtown Cleveland has hosted some of the most famous acts in the music business, as they were on their way to stardom. On Euclid Avenue with parking behind the building on Prospect Avenue, near East 55th Street, in Cleveland's MidTown neighborhood.

Best Room in Ohio

At the Agora Theater you have the perfect venue for a live concert. I am really critical about concert venues and this place is the best around, hands down. I LOVE the Agora. It's always general admission, has a superb sound system and the best acoustics you could dream of. Your ears are in for a sonic awakening at the Agora, because the sound is so full and thick. This is a true old Vaudville theater that has been updated over the years. They took out the movie theater style seats and replaced them with nice tier-table seating so you can sit at any table and clearly see the stage, or there is a large flat standing area near the stage if you want to get closer to the action. The tables fill up quickly, so get there early if you want a table seat. Shows that sell enough tickets also have the awesome balcony seats available, but it's closed off for smaller shows. The front of the balcony seating is easily the best seat in the house. However unlike the exellent Theater, across the hall at the Agora Ballroom, you will find the WORST venue for live music ever. Everything that is right about the Theater is wrong in the Ballroom. It's not worth the words. I just wish they would book more diverse acts like they used to, because it is something everybody shoud experience including non-metal heads. House of Blues killed the live music scene and it's a shame that the best venues like the Agora can't book the acts that now only go to HOB.
