We were there the other weekend for Million Dollar Quartet. The food was excellent. I had the Chicken Parm and my husband had the Seafood Pasta. It was delicious. The service was very good even considering the room was fully booked on both sides and people stnading in the hallway waiting to get tables that I guessed had just walked in without reservations. Our waitress was very pleasant and very attentive and constantly had a smile on her face. We didnt want to sit on the other side at first but she promised we would "have a good time" and she was right. We told her we would post a review and i hope she gets to see it. We left having had a wonderful dinner at aeat little restaurant. We will definetly be back. Thank you for a great evening. Beachwood 11/1/2011 Love this place Was there the other night before seeing West Side Story. We go to the theatre regularily and will not eat anywhere else. The food is excellent. (Won Taste of Cleveland two years in a row according to their trophies). I have never had any but a plesant experience. The prices are reasonable especially for the portions size. The portions are huge. The staff and chefs will get you out on time. I recoomend reservations. Every time we are down there, the place is filled solid with standing room outside waiting to get in. I have never had to wait for my water or food or anything even when it is booked solid. The servers are very friendly and very attentive. I do recommend reservations though. Common sense says if you walk in 45 minutes before your show without a reservation and the dining room is full with 50 or more seats, you may have to wait for your food. Everytime we make reservations, we have always been out in time for the show. The food is excellent. My husband and I have had many of their items on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed. I recommend them highly. You can't make everyone happy, but that restraunt is always booked up so they must be doing something right. Beachwood 5/17/2011 Avoid at all cost On April 16 went here for dinner - reservations were at 5:45 were seated immediately - waitress took our order at a few minutes before 6, we both ordered dinners that included salad and bread - we received the salad and bread at 6:25 (no one ever came to our table to ask or tell us anything - we were baiscally ignored), now our tickets for the theatre were for 7:30, at 6:55 our dinner finally arrived, yes a whole hour later, my chicken was burned, and my pasta was so over cooked it must have been sitting in the water all day. My fiance's dinner also included chicken, and was so dry she could not chew it - when we talked to the manger all she said was dinner was free, no kidding, and the excuse she gave us "we are busy" - too busy to take care of your customers and see the food ws properly cooked?? I will never eat here again, this was our first and last time here, we come down here once a month for shows, we learned our lesson, we are sticking with Bricco's - best restaurant in the area. Carl Prince 4/19/2011 A BIG DON'T Service is terrible. The server paid no attention to us. We had to yell at her every time we needed something. We were a the table 30 minutes before we were able to order. My food was burned beyond flavor. When we asked for water it took 20 minutes. There were 6 customers in the whole place. They even managed to screw up the salad! They have a limited menu, and I could see nothing appealing on it. Anonymous 2/8/2011 how DO they stay in business??? This may have been the worst restaurant EVER. For starters, do not eat there if you have ANY food issues (not vegetarian friendly, not wheat allergy friendly, and no willingness to adapt). But the most RIDICULOUS part was the tuna salad my friend got. No lie... a bed of romaine lettuce with a can of cat-food like tuna just opened up and dumped on top... and for $13!! When we expressed displeasure, the waiter just stared at us and didn't understand or offer to make any amends. We went to our play starving, but not after shelling out quite a few dollars for nothing. hudson 12/13/2009 Our favorite at Playhouse Square The location is great, right next door to the Playhouse Square theaters. The food is wonderful, and a good value, too. Kent, OH 2/24/2009 Delicious! Just like Mamma Makes Today we enjoyed the most delicious Veal Neapolitan with a side of Fettuccini Alfedro. Oh My God was it GOOD! My wife enjoyed the Salomon with sautéed Escarole and Potato. We have always enjoyed our dining experiences at this tiny little gem of a restaurant when we attend the theater. The other Restaurants in the theater district are good but Acappella is our first choice. Please disregard to the person who wrote the bad review. They are definitely wrong. Acappella is wonderful. The coffee shop at Moko Café serves my favorite brand of coffee “Intelligentsia Coffee” We always buy a few pounds when we attend the theater. Fran Vitella Cleveland Heights 12/13/2008 Always a pleasant experience ! I've been to Acapella quite of few time now and am always pleased with the food and service not to mention the fair prices for a downtown restaurant. I would recommend Acapella to anyone looking for a great place to eat before going to a show. I'll definitely go back again and again. Fairview Park 10/6/2005 The WORST meal we ever had! HONEST My husband(an executive chef) and I went to Acapella after reviewing it on this website. First of all the price range is not high...it is LOW..the appietizers are around 5-6 a piece and entrees are 10-16 a piece...cheap selection of wine and the food itself was not cooked well and resembled their prices. Do not go to Acapella if you are looking for a nice evening good meal or nice ambience(hint- vinyl table clothes and full view of cardboard boxes everywhere). Jessica Latimer from New Orleans LA 8/7/2005 Good food and timely service We have had lunch at Acapella's before each matinee performance at the Palace Broadway Series for several years. Each time we enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the good food. Service is excellent! Canton Ohio 2/7/2005 Awesome service Great food Great prices If you are coming to Playhouse Square Acapella is the place to eat.You will not find a more affordable friendly place anywhere downtown. rocky river 12/1/2004 Acapella is a great little Italian restaurant!
