A Touch of Italy has been in the same location for over 30 years. Starting out as a famous pizza place, A Touch of Italy has evolved into a full scale restaurant and bar. Whether you are looking for their famous Pizza, Pastas, Lasagna, Wings, Salads, or just a good drink, A Touch of Italy has that familiar neighborhood type feel. No gimmics, no flare, just great food and drinks at honest prices!
The Touch has a supportive happy hour group, who all seem to know each on some level. The range of customers covers the map. The drinks are good and cheap and the food is good. Most of the bartenders are good, but sometimes the service is a little slow and some of the female bartenders can be a little short. The crowd can be diverse as the neighborhood and at other times urban. The Juke Box produces a diversity like the crowd, unless you are there on Friday and Saturday nights. The pizza is awesome and the Sante Fe sandwich or salad is great. Sports and its conversation are strong and competitive. Good menu and most of the time good people! Worth a visit! Anonymous 12/7/2008 Who knew? I grew up between in NY and Cleveland and have always loved the pizza at "The Touch". Why did it take me nearly all of my adult life to find out there is a bar in there and has been there for 3 generations of Shaker Grads? I discovered it last summer as a visiting intern, and it was wonderful reprieve from the $9 NYC drink. Overall, cheap drinks(shout to P), good pie, and a colorful albeit loud crowd. Nice chill out of the way spot. New York 7/11/2007 I Love Pierre! I have been going to the Touch for a few yrs. now and I love the bartender Pierre he is very personable and considerate... He makes good drinks also. I also love the salad... I think that the cook is very slow though...And I mean very SLOW. Maple Heights 6/23/2007 Not too good A Touch of Italy is just that--it's a touch. It's rather bland and boring, it's pricey and smells of cigarette smoke. We're only gone a couple of times, not worth the bother. Service was very solw. Shaker Heights 6/27/2006 Great Salads!! I have tried all the Salad entrees the "Touch" has to offer. The salads are colorful and very tasty. The chef does an excellent job presenting the salads in an appetizing fashion. The dining room could use some updating. It has more of a pizza parlor family atmosphere.
