I first visited the 2020 in June 2008 for a Father's Day Jazz Brunch that featured local singers Evelyn Wright, Theresa Haney and Reggie Kelly. The show and the sound were wonderful. The service however, was not. It was extremely slow. I wrote it off to it being a new place and the size of the crowd that afternoon. I revisited months later for an Avant listening party. Music was good again, service not too bad, but food was terrible. How can you mess up pizza?! I gave it one more try in August of this year at another local music feature, The Tommy Johnson Show. Great music, nice vibe. No food was being served but bar service was slow and the bartender added tips on the drink totals unbeknownst to customers, who were leaving cash tips. I like the talent that comes through, but the service and food quality have to drastically improve. music lover from warehouse district, cleveland 11/12/2009 Nice, but could be better I have been here for numerous musical performances since their opening. In June of 2008 I saw Cleveland jazz singers Evelyn Wright, Theresa Haney and Reggie Kelly backed up by Hubb's Groove perform for Father's Day. The show was excellent, but the service was really slow. I wrote it off to them being a brand new venue and very busy that day because of the size of the crowd. I was there again for an Avant listening party and although the food came in a timely manner, the quality was not up to par. And with something as simple as pizza! I was there this August for another local music showcase, The Tommy Johnson Show, and again, the show was great and reasonably priced. There was no food being served this night however, my father ordered a bottle of wine and they automatically included the tip in his total (at the bar) which he didn't realize until after he had already tipped the bartender in cash. The place is beautiful, I like the talent that has come through but the food and service need to desperately improve. Warehouse District 11/11/2009 Roy Ayers I went to 20/20 Martini on April 4, 2009 for the Roy Ayers concert. And the total experience I ‘m sorry to say was horrible. I attend the 7:00 pm show the concert started at 7:30 and it was over at 8:30. The tickets were $30.00 this in it self was a total rip off. He had a second show scheduled for 10:30pm. The acoustic were terrible if you were sitting in the back you could not hear anything. , If you are going to use this establishment for concerts, shows etc. please upgrade your sound system. The service was actually comical; it was so terrible that I was just amazed and shocked. I was sitting at a table for four; we waited over an hour for our food. When the waitress finally arrived with our food we promtly order a round of drinks. After waiting another hour for our drinks we noticed that our waitress was no longer serving tables but attending the bar!! We informed the manager Al and he stated that he would take care of us. Well after waiting another hour this now means a total of 2 hours he was taking photo’s with Roy Ayer’s and playing MC to the crowd. Needless to say we never did receive our drinks after attending there for a total of three hours. When our checks arrive our drinks were included on the bill. At this point we almost lost it! No one in our entire section was waited on. This is an upscale establishment and the clientele was willing to indulge in spending, however with the poor service we got to keep our money that night. The server’s were walking around clueless they could not find the correct tables. They were very young and inexperienced. I like the concept of 20/20 and it is a very nice place. However people are not going to pay for the atmosphere we pay for the service. That’s the bottom line. Cleveland 4/6/09 Anonymous 4/6/2009 Good Idea gone back The atmosphere and interior is warm and relaxing with an adult flavor, which is very attractive to the mature audience. The New Flava band is TOTALLY AWESOME!!! It made up for the high price menu and the very very nice but under staffed service. Everyone is really nice and means well, but their service needs to be turned up a notch. I have frequent this establishments more than 4 or 5 times, but I only go for the band and the bar. As a suggestion the 2020 may want to make the band, drinks and light appetizers the main focus, because those are what's keeping this place a float. It is a shame to have such a great idea and a great establishment go to waste, because management is not picking up on what's really drawing the customers. I hope they take a look at the total picture and make some adjustments to their business plans and go with what is selling. Cleveland 1/8/2009 unfortunately terrible. I live in the stonebridge building and have been awaiting this what seemed to be a great idea for sometime. The first time i decided to stop by for a drink after diner in the city. I had to pay a cover fee to get in and waited almost 30 minutes for the uncaring bar tender to serve me and my guest. Tonight i stopped stopped in to grab a cup of coffee. The woman at the front door would not let me in the building saying she was not sure if the coffee area was open. Though standing in the front doors it clearly was, full of people drinking and eating. I was eventually let in with the only option of coffee. Very uninviting. The lounge itself is very attractive and it is a great idea. Again, I live in this building, but have no plans on returning anytime soon. Stonebridge, cleveland 10/22/2008 Not Impressed Martini 2020 isn't all it is cracked up to be. Service is terrible; food isn't that good - especially for the price. Drinks are very expensive. I was there one evening and it took them 20 minutes to bring me a glass of wine. Another evening I was there with a group of people. They served my entire party (slowly), but forgot to prepare one person in our party's food. They did very little to compensate him for this. I don't mind spending a little more money on an exceptional meal, but in no way is 2020 exceptional. When you comment on the pricing, the owner will tell you that this is cheap for DC. Well you aren't in DC anymore. I live walking distance to this establishment and it is convenient, but I promise you that I will never go again. Cleveland 8/28/2008 Very Inviting I appreciated the fact that the service was great! My server made sure that I would want to come back and spread the word about how welcoming this place was. cleveland 5/31/2008 Nice Atmosphere I like the fact it was a nice mature and freindly group of people. I just hope the 2020 maintain a mature group of people. The fact it is considered a 3 in 1 is an awsome idea. I wish you much success in the business. I do plan to come again. As for the service friendly workers but need more help. I just hope it is not as hot in the summer because it was very cold on the night I came. Cleveland 3/7/2008 Finally...New Life in CLE I am very happy that Cleveland can now boast a new restaurant that I would like to frequent. I was in a party of 15 last night. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the Hostess and seated immediately. The service was very good. Although a few of the dishes weren't quite what was ordered and didn't arrive at the same time, I didn't allow it to distract me from the ambience, the music and great time that I had. The layout is very nice, the owner is very pleasant and stopped by our table to welcome our group. I like that parking is directly across the street and only steps away from the restaurant. In general, the food was very tasteful and nicely presented. The patrons were dressed nicely and lended to a more upscale, but relaxed atmosphere. I have already made reservations for a gathering of 12 in a few weeks and look foward to returning. I know there are some kinks that need to be worked out, and I feel very confident that they will improve the timing for meals served. Overall, I give this place 8.5 out of 10 stars. The restaurant business is not an easy business, and I know there have been many restaurants that I've frequented that didn't offer all that 2020 has to offer. I will not be too harsh on the small things at this point. Congrats to the owner, her family and staff. And, thank you for a great evening! Dyuanna Mebane from Bedford Heights 3/2/2008 Beautiful Wonderful establishment. Lovely local artwork and sculpture. What Cleveland Flats Nightlife has been craving. Diverse friendly crowd. Fun unpretentious atmosphere. Good mojito (my favorite). Has a good mix - food, live music, huge viewing screen, coffee, dessert, casual dining, free wi-fi, comfy couches and seating. Will definitely return. Somewhere that you can lounge a bit and linger. Food was a bit slow, but still working out the flow in the kitchen. Owner gave 50% for next visit. Husband and I felt that was fair. Cannot wait to visit again. Ericka Abrams from Cleveland 2/27/2008 2020 Martini & Lounge I have to say I was not very impressed with the service. I waited over 45 minutes for wings abd fries. It was so long that my friend & I paid for our drinks and left. It was also very cold in the restaurant. I would like to give it another chance but, I'm not sure that I will. Cleveland 2/23/2008 Post your own review of this venuePlease take a look at our guidelines for help and our disclaimer.
